I don’t believe that I am different from any other person. We all desire to move forward. Personally and professionally we want to see positive progress being made in our lives. I can admit that I can spend a good bit of time contemplating whether or not I am progressing at the pace and in the direction that I desire. As I have opportunity to talk with other pastors, ministry leaders, and just people in general I find that I am not alone.

The need to be perfect looms as large as any other problem that plagues leaders who are trying to reach personal and organizational goals. Getting it done, as important as that is, at times seems unable to compete with the need to make sure its perfect when its finished. Make the Difficult Decisions Quickly

As a child there was one vegetable that I hated eating more than any other; that vegetable was rutabagas. Whenever I saw those orange, mashed vegetables on my dinner plate I knew that it was going to be a long night.
The only thing that made a longer night than rutabagas was liver and onions. Anyway, whenever these items made their way to the dinner table of my youth I would push them around on my plate and hope they would go away. I would eat everything else on the plate first, taking my time and saving the worst for last.
